Sarah Weld

Sarah is an experienced editor, writer and reporter and has spent the last five years working in higher education. Most recently, she worked as the communications manager for enrollment services at Cal State East Bay. Before that, she was the lead editor and writer on the communications team at Saint Mary’s College. Prior to joining Saint Mary’s, Sarah worked for many years as a journalist. She spent six years as editor and co-editor of the East Bay Monthly, and has worked as a daily newspaper reporter, magazine editor, and freelance writer, frequently focusing on stories about education. She lives in Oakland with her husband and two children.

Adele Perera

Adele Perera recently joined Berkeley Law as a Legal Assistant in the Faculty Support Unit. Previously she worked on campus in events and program support, and as a molecular biologist. She has a degree from UC Berkeley in Genetics and Plant Biology, and lives in Oakland.

Lynn Kwon

Lynn Kwon recently joined Berkeley Law as the Instructional Technologist. She comes from her most recent job at Stanford School of Medicine as an Academic Technology Specialist. Lynn holds a PhD in Instructional Systems Technology at Indiana University at Bloomington. She also has vast interests in measurement, statistics, data science or any other methods or tools that can innovate teaching and research. She currently lives in Palo Alto and likes playing tennis.

Judy Wong

Judy Wong has joined UC Berkeley as the Junior Systems Analyst. Previously, she worked at San Francisco State University as a Service Desk Technician. She currently lives in El Cerrito with her two cats.

Karly Kurkjian

Karly Kurkjian recently joined Berkeley Law as an assistant in the Registrar’s Office. Previously she worked at Susie Cakes Bakery doing pastry work and guest service. She has a B.A. in History from U.C. Berkeley, and lives in Piedmont with her parents and brother.

Linus Kipkoech

Linus Kipkoech recently joined Berkeley Law as the System Analyst for Statewide Database. He recently graduated from UC Berkeley with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Linus wants to be a cyber security specialist in future. He enjoys catching up with new technology and playing sports in his free time. When he goes to Kenya he loves farming and taking care of their cattle.

Jaime Clark

Jaime Clark recently joined Berkeley Law as the Redistricting Data & Access Coordinator at Statewide Database. Previously she worked as Co-Executive Director at Bay Area Girls Rock Camp. She has a BA from UC Santa Cruz and lives with her dog, Coco, and cat, Fizz.

Britta Kolb

Britta Kolb recently joined Berkeley Law as the Leadership Gifts Program Coordinator. Previously she worked at UC Berkeley’s School of Social Welfare as the Annual Giving and External Events Manager.  She has a BA in Studio Art and Art History from The College of St. Benedict/St.John’s University in Minnesota and an MA in Museum Studies from JFKU in Berkeley. Originally from South Dakota, Britta lives in Richmond with her husband Alex (UC Berkeley Music), 1.5 year old son Shepherd “Shep”, and Robot the cat. She enjoys all outdoor activities, reading, and painting.

Ryan Furtkamp

Ryan Furtkamp recently joined Berkeley Law as the communications and publications specialist at the Robbins Collection. Previously he worked at Stanford University Press doing publicity and media outreach. He has a masters degree in history from Binghamton University and lives in Oakland with his wife, two dogs, and two cats. His family, full of Cal alumni, are very happy he has left Stanford.

Faris Natour

Faris Natour leads the Human Rights and Business Initiative, a partnership between the Human Rights Center at Berkeley Law and the Center for Responsible Business at Berkeley Haas, where he teaches business and human rights and drives research and collaboration among business and stakeholders.  Faris also co-founded Article One, a business and human rights consulting firm, where he advises leading global companies on human rights strategy and management.  Faris received an LL.M. from George Washington University Law School, and a law degree from Universitaet Regensburg, Germany.  Born and raised in Regensburg, Germany, Faris lives in Berkeley with his wife and two sons.
